"No athlete should wait to be hurt before getting help..... and this includes horses"

Jack Meagher, Sports Therapist

Why do you need me?

Animals can suffer from back and muscle discomfort just as humans do, which is often interpreted by us as bad behaviour. These days we demand a great deal from our animals especially in the competitive spheres. Imbalances due to conformation, old injuries or discomfort can cause compensations in gait which combine to reduce their athletic performance and increase the injury risk.

These problems not only occur in highly active horses or dogs but in any animal from an ill-timed or inappropriate activity, just as in humans.

How can I help?

McTimoney Animal Manipulation and Sports Therapy aims to restore normal function to joints, muscles and nerves, to increase control, co-ordination and strength.

McTimoney Animal Manipulation and Sports Therapy are very effective techniques used to promote health, performance and soundness in our animals. The McTimoney technique has been developed from human chiropractic techniques and is useful for resolving back problems in animals. Whilst Sports Massage Therapy is widely used to help soft tissue injuries.
