"I have always been brought up around animals, so it seemed natural that my working life should involve them.

"Having a Vet as a Mother meant that animal well being was always at the fore front of my mind, whilst my first degree at Cambridge University instigated the fascination into their movement. These interests were only strengthened whilst spending nearly 10 years working in the horse racing industry. I have worked on a variety of yards around the world in a variety of positions where I was always lucky enough to be the one who was responsible for tending injuries and rehabilitating horses back to their best. I was also fortunate to work on one of the country's top yards alongside the infamous Mary Bromiley, off whom I learnt a great deal.

"The first time I saw Sports Therapy in use on animals was durng one of my seasons on a racing yard where we had 2 previously unraced 8 year old geldings. They both had had a long history of problems, and hence had never made it to the track. By using a McTimoney Therapist, Equine Sports Masseur and lot of long reining and schooling we were able to get both of these horses to the track. One has gone on to be placed in almost every run. It was very rewarding.

"This inspired to me to do an ITEC diploma in Equine Sports Massage followed by a Masters Degree in McTimoney Animal Manipulation. Now I work for myself but I continue to expand my knowledge with seminars and courses wherever possible.

"In my spare time, my hobbies include photography, triathlon and walking the dogs."
